Hope
The Advent candles light the way,
Illuminating the path both night and day.
Preparing for the Christ child’s birth
And bring peace to all the earth.
This week the candle burns for hope.
Reaching out towards those who can not cope.
John the Baptist, a lone voice of the day
Is making straight the Royal Highway.
